Women have yet to advance their mindset to the 21st Century and I’ll Tell You Why

 In the 21^st Century women are still dependent upon men.

Women are still buying into the hype that they must get married and have babies they can’t afford to take care of especially if the baby’s daddies walk out on them.

Women still buy into the hype that they can’t exist without a man.

Women are still buying into the till death do us part as is evident that they stay with men who abuse them and their children through beatings and/or rape.

Women get married before obtaining skills allowing them to support themselves without the added salary of a man, welfare, food stamps and Section 8 forcing their children to grow up in poverty and horrible neighborhoods because they didn’t allow themselves to reach the age of maturity before getting married.

Women still marry men they settle for and not their life mates.

Women are still buying into a woman isn’t complete unless she has a man in her bed. And men know this and as long as women continue to give men power over them they will continue to remain under the thumbs of these men! For example, men still have the final say on women’s reproduction organs, how much pay they can earn in the job market, how far they can advance in corporate America, how much or how little alimony and child support they can receive, and even how to behave if they are the wife of a military officer or politician just to name a few professions. Some women are even told how to think and how to dress and they do as they are told.

I attended a party a few weeks ago and sat at a table with people I didn’t know. One woman invited another woman on an outing and the woman who was invited replied, I’ll have to ask my husband not I’ll have to see if my husband has something on the calendar for us to do. To me, this is not an adult relationship but a father daughter relationship.

Is there any wonder why women are slow in the climbing the corporate ladder? Women prove themselves weak, ineffective, dependent, and needy as long as they buy into the mindset of their mothers and grandmothers and great grandmothers.

We Americans are in need of deep reflection; some soul searching if you will.

We have tolerated abuses, been treated as commodities and fools, who are here to be exploited by the plutocrats who reign with impunity and crass disregard as if they are the entitled and chosen few who believe they are above being held accountable and responsible for the devastation they have created.  

We have been propagandized and plied with lies, misinformation and dissembling by our elected officials who are just hand maidens and water carriers for the moneyed and special interests who underwrite their campaigns.

There are politicians who don't cheat on their wives, movie stars whose marriages don't end in divorce, and professional athletes who aren't womanizers, but a pro bodybuilder turned Hollywood star turned governor?

Who are they? The richest 1 percent. And maybe the next 9 percent.

Who are we? All the rest.

Which poses an interesting question.

How has a tiny fraction of the population – which is diverse in many ways – arranged for their narrowest economic interests to dominate the economic interests of the vast majority? And, while they're at it, endanger the economic well-being of our nation, and bring the financial system of the whole world to the brink of collapse.

They have money.

We have votes.

Theoretically, that means we should have the government. Theoretically, government should be a countervailing force against the excesses of big money, take the long view for the good of the nation, and watch out for the majority. Let alone for the poor and downtrodden.

The headline for this story should actually be "Mr. Racist Goes to Washington." A law professor was once asked a question about justice. He told his students to go outside and look at the words engraved on the building to see if they were in a school of justice or in a school of law. Justice and law are not the same thing.

In our adversarial system, facts aren't as important as procedures. So when a guilty person gets off or an innocent person is punished, as long as the proper procedures were followed, we say that justice was done even if it obviously was not. In any adversarial system the object is to win, so values and principles can be jettisoned in the competition to come out on top.

In the ongoing national debate about the proper size and scope of government, conservatives usually argue that less is more. But a federal lawsuit filed by Michael Farris, a constitutional lawyer known for his conservative views, aims to increase the number of politicians on Capitol Hill. Farris says that, at its current size, the House of Representatives doesn't give equal representation to all Americans. He wants the court to expand the House to at least 932 members.

There are far too many dirty politicians in Congress and the House of Representatives!

These politicians knew all along what they were doing was illegal but they kept doing it anyway.

Every politician who's a member of C-Street and every politician who lived at C-Street must be voted out of office!

These liars and thieves and deceivers are not worthy of our trust or our support at the polls.

If we truly want change we must vote them out of office!

To take it a step further we must raise our voices and demand term limits in all areas of politics because no politician should be given the opportunity to become a bad seed on our watch!

And no politician should be allowed to make a career of being a single office politician!

And what's up with the D.C. politicians choosing to turn a blind eye to C-Street's shenanigans! Were they getting a kick back for choosing to ignore what they knew was going on?

Many of our problems stem from us voters putting our trust into the untrustworthy. We vote these charlatans into office and consider our job done when it's only just begun.

To keep our politicians honest we must keep our feet on their necks!

We must keep a watchful eye on everything they do in our names. Yes in our names because they say, "we'll only doing what our constituents want us to do."

Well we all know that's a lie, don't we.

Well I am sick and tired of the lying, the cheating, the stealing, the deceiving, and the spending of my hard earned dollars to screw me by doing things that has nothing to do with me and my fellow taxpayers.

Yes, C-Street has lost its tax exemption status, at least 60% of it I believe was reported, but I won't be satisfied until all the C-Street Gang is out of office.

When is the last time you checked your health provider's contract concerning your health care coverage?

What % do you receive for in-home care? At what point does it run out? Or are you even covered?

What % do you receive for post cancer care? At what point does it run out?

What % do you receive for post heart attack care? At what point does it run out?

What % do you receive for on-going MS, Lupus, any autoimmune illness care? At what point does it run out? Or are you even covered?

What % do you receive for HIV/AIDs care? Or are you even covered?

What % do you receive for problem pregnancy? At what point does it run out?

When is the last time you checked your health provider's contract concerning your health care coverage?

On July 28, The Fox Nation promoted Our Country Deserves Better PAC's "Tea Party Express," which is dedicated to opposing Democratic officeholders.

Politicians and pundits on both sides of the aisle are trying to make national health care reform into a game. One senator even said that defeating health care reform is about "breaking" President Obama.

It is not about "breaking" our president. Reforming our national health care system is about fixing our economy by creating competition to lower health care costs and improve care.

Health care reform is about the estimated 47 million Americans that do not have health insurance. Nearly five million people have lost their insurance since September 2008. 14,000 more are losing coverage every day -- and the situation is only getting worse.

This is not a game. This is a crisis. And as the recession continues, it is a crisis with profound implications for every city and county in America.

Greg Sargent has this wonderful catch of a House Democrat who speaks plainly about the hypocrisy of politicians who reject a public option that they themselves receive on the public's dime.

"When I listen to the hysterical descriptions of what is in this legislation, I would remind many members to look at themselves in the mirror. Because what they are presently entitled to as members of Congress is exactly what this legislation is proposing to create for all Americans."

Courtney went on to blast opposition to the public plan as "hogwash," and concluded: "At the end of the day, we must give the people of this country exactly what they give us."

In 2006, Courtney promised not to accept taxpayer subsidized health insurance, a privilege offered to all Members of Congress, until all Americans have access to affordable and quality coverage.

There was a cryptic moment in the emotional press conference South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford held last week to apologize for committing adultery.

"C Street," Sanford said, is where men face "hard questions."

Later, in response to a question from a reporter, the Republican governor and former congressman said that he had been to "what we called 'C Street' when I was in Washington."

Sanford was referring to the address of the Washington headquarters for The Family -- perhaps the most politically powerful religious group in Washington. Sponsor of the annual National Prayer Breakfast that draws leading U.S. politicians, the secretive Christian organization also known as The Fellowship was founded in Seattle in 1935 by Abraham Vereide, a Norwegian immigrant and itinerant preacher who worked with the city's poor and feared the pull of socialism.

When a 19 year-old white supremacist recently gained a seat on the Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee, the election created such an outcry that embarrassed local politicians used a technicality to block his seating. The entire process was buffoonish, although the views of the spawn of a grand wizard of the KKK and his supporters were not. Events such as this, or the stunning success of David Duke in Louisiana in 1990, occur every few years within the GOP, a reminder of the party's racist faction. Even more standard for Republicans, especially in the year that saw Barack Obama's election, are the off-key comments about uppitiness, Senators whistling Dixie, and, most recently, a funny little party-endorsed mailer called "Barack the Magic Negro."

... There seems to be more at work behind the Republican exodus than the centrifugal forces that have pushed a few prominent conservative opinion leaders away from their party roots.

...The growing list includes Republicans who were governors, senators, congressmen, cabinet officials, military leaders, corporate directors, and even some stodgy old newspaper editors. They are serious people, genuinely concerned about the future of the country, and they are not much given to fads and fluff....

... What is most striking about these high-visibility defections is that that overwhelmingly they come with ringing endorsements. They speak to Obama's skills, abilities, and temperament. Everywhere, except in the occasional tepid endorsement such as the one in the Washington Post, the precipitating factors may be the lead line, but the bulk of these statements is taken up by extraordinary praise for Obama.
