While hundreds of thousands of Americans converge on the National Mall to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this weekend as the president dedicates a memorial to the slain civil rights leader, Rick Perry, the newly minted Republican Party presidential front-runner, will be attending a retreat with a man who believes King deserves no such honor.

David Barton Bio

Al Shapton on tonight's show, showed a clip where David Barton said that Rev. D. Martin Luther King deserved no credit on civil rights because white people were responsible. In a way, he was right. LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act (1964) and Ronad Reagan signed into law MLK's holiday.

The question is, would either of these two events have happened if it were not for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King?

This position on the right that only whites have the authority to bestow or remove civil and even human rights is why they must be kept in check. This is a basic tenet of the conservative party and why they feel that not only must thay make all of the decisions for the rest of us, but that they are the only ones who are capable of making such decisions.

The conservative party is infested with those with Narcissitic personalities and people with Narcissistic personalities are mentally ill. These people aren't capable of making decisions for themselves let alone making decisions for others. For David Barton to make the statement that he did confirms that he is mentally ill.

MLK, paved the way for everyone who was being beaten down by individuals with narcissistic personalities to be able to fight for their rights. Because of MLK, women are able to serve as politicians, as heads of corporations, able to get out of domestic abuse, if they desire too, etc. Because of Dr. Rev. King. minorities are able to much of the same. If it hadn't been for MLK bringing attention to the injustices, nothing would have changed.
