I also would like to point out several things a black person has never done to me:
1. A black person has never evicted me from my apartment.
2. A black person does not make me stand outside in the cold 33 degree weather while they sit 10 feet away in a heated building.
3. A black person has never "down sized" me.
4. A black person has never stole millions from stock holders.
4. Of the 3 times my cd player was stolen out of my car 2 times it was white people.
5. Every thing stolen from me from now all the way back to when someone stole a hockey puck out of my desk in first grade has been a white person (except the 1 isolated incident mentioned above).
6. A black person has never threatened to sue me.
7. A black person has never moved the company I work for over seas.
8. A black person has never sent poor Americans to die in a war over US corporate interests or oil.
9. A less qualified black person has ever gotten a job we were both contending for.
This is just a short list, I could come up with at least 1000 more things but you get the idea.

10. A black person (or a group of black people) were not responsible for crippling the world's economy.

I'm cool with all people I just think some people have a hard time justifying themselves let alone another human that isn't a clone of them.

I never see a persons color... unless that person reminds me to look
- 9 votes
True, but it does not add to it. If you are too focused on color it will posibly color your opinion in an incorrect direction. This can happen any time someone experiences something negative at the hands of another person or group of people. Even as little as negative words. Many people are too quick to lump categories of people into boxes based on the behavior of a few.

I happen to think anyone that isn't my color (mostly white) is beautiful and some of my friends say the same about their race. We get tired of the same old same old and want a huge variety of people in our lives. My extended family is like the United Nations and I'm lucky to be a part of this group.

LOL...well............LOL.....dont believe or could believe this?
Why?
Is it so hard for you to see a person as just that, a person?

I happen to think anyone that isn't my color (mostly white) is beautiful and some of my friends say the same about their race.
So you and your friends all agree, everyone that isn't white is beautiful? I happen to think my race (White) is the most beautiful.
- 2 votes
Is it so hard for you to see a person as just that, a person?
No, I just am able to admit that color matters to alot of people. When most people are asked to describe a person the first thing is what color they are....simple fact and it doesnt have to be about an overall judgement of color.
Drag The Waters Some More I do think my Whiteness is beautiful but I also believe every race is beautiful. What I was attempting to say is my Japanese Chinese East Indian Black Vietnamese Cambodian Hawaiian Native American to name a few feel their race is beautiful and other races are beautiful. The attraction for each other is mutual in other words and we don't want or need to continually be surrounded by just "our own" Sorry if my post confused you.

I'm legally obligated to be color blind. Also, blind to religion, gender and disability.
Otherwise, I am color blind and it's not up to me to solve the problems of those out there who focus on color. I focus on action and character of the INDIVIDUAL.
Also, on another thread, it was discovered that rich was its own race. SO- All the comments about white bankers, replace with rich ok? Just like there are rich people of color who get away with crimes as well. Thanks!

I never see a persons color...
Well I do. It's something I take note of whenever I meet a new person. I also take note of their hair color, eye color, what they've got on, etc. I take in a person's entire appearance, just as I think most people do. The thing I don't do is judge them by that.
I also try my best not to judge people by their behavior. I've run into "crabby" people who're dealing with financial or health issues.
I think saying you never see a person's color is like saying you never notice whether or not they're wearing clothes. Ok, maybe a little hyperbolic, but I think you get what I mean. Well, I hope you get what I mean. :~)
- 4 votes
I absolutely judge a person by their behavior. Especially at work. We all got problems, but you don't have to be an ass. If you act like an ass, I will determine, you are an ass. If you come to an interview and you can't control your crabbiness, well, I don't think you'll be able to remain professional when work gets stressful. If we have nothing else, someones behaviors and actions are what we DO have to make judgements on.

If we have nothing else, someones behaviors and actions are what we DO have to make judgements on.
This is true. Maybe I should have explained myself better. If someone displays a pattern of dick-face behavior, then I would clearly think, "That person is a dick-face." If, however, I'm meeting someone for the first time and they aren't necessarily the epitome of politness, I don't take that personally. I try not to judge that specific behavior. And anyone who comes to an interview with an attitude like that probably needs to review what it takes to get a freakin' job! :~)

Well, one thing for sure is I don't believe that God is some old dude with a white beard and a robe. I think God is genderless and is energy, which means there really isn't a "race" to speak of. But hey, that's just me.

This article made me want to puke! I don't know if God is black, but I feel certain that Jesus had dark brown skin or black!Does that bother me....hell no! My European husband has absolutely no regard for any of them. I don't why! I like some and don't like some! If they are in jail, maybe, when they get out they won't go back in. Starting in pre-kindergarten, their education is the same as a white child. Go figure if they don't make it.
I worked with a majority being black in a hospital....OmG, talk about a trip? I had to quit because of the harrassment. Later went to the VP of Personnel and was told he could not do anything about it. it would be opening a can of worms and they wouldn't go there. Oh, sure, I could sue, but that is only for minorities for the ACLU to intervene.
They are just gonna have to get over it.....if not, what can I say?

Skin color doesn't make the person but you can't blame whites for what has happen to Black people we all had the same chance at education / life many in both races made it other didn't because they didn't want to push themselves. I am sick of the word minority due to the fact your government came up with that word putting people down stating they are not smart enough to make it on their own. So they started welfare and people learn to live off of it from generation to generation never trying to make their life better. You make the place you live and if you do not care to maintain it that has nothing to do with skin color period.
Black children many of their father walk out and wouldn't take care of them so they had no one guiding them along where white father stay and try to help their children and maybe that why they made or had a better life.
I came from a poor family and still made a very good living, just because I wanted that better life. No one can hold you back no matter what your color is as long as you want to move forward.
There is good and bad in all color and just as many white do drug as the black, so stop trying to say the black has a hard life do to the white or the white has a better chance. Maybe our government should of stop using the word minority and giving free hand out and treated everyone the same so everyone felt equal, there are many black teacher, lawyers, doctors, engineer so ask yourself why they made it and other didn't and it has nothing to do with skin color.
So yes as you said many will disagree with what you are trying to say and I am one of them, and do not feel sorry for anyone who doesn't want to help themselves just crying over what they do not have over what someone else has.
If I believe what you are say us white are the worst people in this world taking everything away from some one else.

Sure you can. Since the Europeans invaded this country, they have been in charged and have created policy for which we all live by--they made up the rules. They imprisoned Japanese, Native Americans, and Blacks. They place the Japanese in interment camps. They created industrial schools for Native Americans where the children were raped and beaten. According to those in charge, they had to be beaten to remove the savage from them. Not only that, they stole their land. They stole blacks from their country and brought them to America to make them slaves. When Blacks were freed, they still weren't allowed to attend school, purchase land to farm, or hired on jobs that paid livable wages. In the 21st Century, the make-up of Congress and the House of Representative is not reflective of all America.
Still today, in the 21st Century, when you walk into the multi-million dollar corporations, the boards are not made up of minorities. The same goes for hospitals, medical offices, media, etc. Turn on your television and radio, or the movies and what do you see? I'm sure you have an excuse to explain why.

Although much of the American public now views welfare dependency as a Black cultural trait, the welfare system systematically excluded Black people for most of its history.
Despite prevailing stereotype, Whites, not Blacks, collect greatest share of public aid dollars

I'm not about to take responsibility for the people who were alive and in charge 100 years ago just as much as I won't take responsibility for the people who are in charge now.
I am not atoning for the sins of someone else. I have to look out for myself and that is it. Well and then blaming someone else because it's hard to get a fair break with my vagina and all.

No @!$%#, there also happens to be MANY more of us than blacks. if you break it down per capita though, it's not even close, as blacks, % wise are on welfare at a MUCH higher rate than whites.

congrats that you made it over the the fields of reality.
What we should be looking at is why the Black families are not together, the crime, the drugs, the high school dropout rate, not the fact that "no black person ever fleeced me".
The Black community is FED UP with the FALSE PROPHET OBAMA, the Baby Bullshiiter.

We will rise again, after we throw the ass hole Democrats out of the HOOD.
THey have controlled our people for 60 years and we have nothing to show for it.
The war on poverty stole $8 trillion from white folk and gave it like free candy to Black folk, but of course first you must not be married and have lots of abortions.
Time to reconsider the purpose of voting 95% for a failed political party that provides lip service just before the election and then maintains the whitey status quo thereafter.
Now you Democrats bring in illegals to further exacerbate the poverty in the Black community.
SHAME< SHAME SHAME..... wish i could have Gomer Pile say that to you!
Example: look at the shameless punk JOhn Conyers and what happened to Detroit.
"Nuff said.

Bill Cosby got hammered for saying the same thing, quite a while back. It's not that the white community doesn't have these problems, but that that they are so much worse among Blacks; and it's not something anyone else can fix.
I'm frustrated, because I don't understand it, and it seems as though Blacks are shooting themselves in the foot. Why? I've had a number of Black friends, workmates, and acquaintances over the years, and they have almost all been successful at what they chose to do, so why are so many others failing?

I truly despise people that put down other people as losers and slackers. How dare they think they are superior to others. To me if they are being horrific to those having less than they do this means they don't have a heck of a lot of worth either. People that feel good about themselves don't have to bash away continually and suck up negativity like nectar.
- 3 votes
so why are so many others failing
people were duped into thinking these free handouts would raise folk out of poverty. in reality, the only way is to do it yourself.
Use your individual power and choice to rise above, only you can do it.
That goes for anybody of any race.
We must take a second look at what the politicians are doing: taking trillions from taxpayers and give it to central bankers, bureaucrats and well paid over fed union workers at GM.
Say what you may, but I see nothing good in voting for the status quo politicians, either Dems or Reps. Both parties have sold out to bankers, unions, global corporations and special lobby groups from teachers unions, tobacco, bankers, US Dept of Commerce ( very, very big lobbyist for globalization and illegal immigration for cheap wages), trial lawyers who contribute 10% extra cost to all the goods and services you buy, auto workers unions, govt unions, agra biz, pharma biz, energy biz, and the list is endless. Both parties have their little pets, and both parties could care less about anything related to YOU except for smooching at ya for votes in some November election.
Most politicians in Washington never vote in the interest of taxpayers or workers, only doing the business of those who contribute to their elections.
We could start changing that by eliminating all lobbying and shorten the time for elections from almost 2 years to let's say 4 months.

If they are in fact, losers and slackers, it's your responsibility to call them on their bluff.
Most of em are in fact losers and slackers. I have worked in factories that are composed of 95% Black and 5% White.
There is little difference in diversity among slackers and go-getters in white or black factories.
What you White folk should try is working in a place with almost all Blacks. You will find they are no different from you.
If Black folk work with mostly Black folk, they cant blame their problems on white folk.
And if white folk would try to see Black folk as equals, then they might be able to
DISLODGE THE FREAKIN LOG IN THEIR EYES!!!!!!

The right is permanently piss off about anything or anyone that does something they don't like or didn't do first or want credit for. They are negative to the point where their anger reverberates across the country. I think they should lighten and start liking themselves a bit and perhaps they'll turn in to a much friendlier bunch.

Stereotyping and assigning blame along racial lines is a excessively silly yet time honored tradition. Hopefully we will one draw grow beyond racism. Otherwise I fear we as a species are screwed.
I do not hate anyone, black or white or any other color or race, I do hate what people do to each other in the name of religion, or politics, or any other thing they think is right. It is time to learn new tricks and it is time to put all the hate away where it belongs, with the Neanderthals.

Frankly, CaptainObviousSays, when you can't prove your point, you resort to attack. When you resort to attack mode, you can't think clearly. When you can't think clearly, you should remain silent. Actually, you're wrong, again. Power is Knowledge refers to if you don't know your rights, you don't have any. Further, what adult would use the handle CaptainObvious Says.

Um, what. First off we go back to Africa the leaders chiefs and kings sold their own people into slavery. Black Aristocracy supported slavery in the south. It is of white and black impoverished people that are slaves. Taking and illiterate idiots of any creed and getting them to hate each other is a simple thing, or by religion if they look the same. DON'T follow the dark hand of the crafty overlords, or the lowly cons spouting lies.
