In making their faculty selections, the most liberal and prestigious universities faithfully observed the custom of racial exclusion well in to the twentieth century.

#1 - Fri Aug 12, 2011 8:35 AM EDTthe university i graduated from, san jose state university, did a purge of black faculty and staff in 2003. the counselor who was very instrumental in getting me out got burned out from the harassment and stress and retired.
