The Facts

  1. Social Security belongs to you—the workers who contribute to it—not the politicians in Washington.
  2. Social Security will never go bankrupt. Its major source of income comes from the contributions of workers and employers; as long as there are workers, Social Security will have income. Closing tax loopholes for wealthy individuals will increase the long term financial health of the program, and protect it for decades to come.
  3. Raising the retirement age is a terrible idea and a large benefit cut. If you were claiming benefits as a 66 year-old retired worker and the full retirement age was changed from 66, where it is today, to 69 your benefits would be cut 20 percent. A typical benefit would drop from $14,000 a year to $11,200 a year.
  4. Privatizing Social Security would be a disaster. Social Security is so valuable because it provides a guaranteed benefit. Privatizing Social Security would remove this guarantee and have people gamble their retirement savings in the casinos of Wall Street. If the recent financial crisis taught us anything, Wall Street is the last place where our money is safe.

I work for Georgia-Pacific in a distribution center where I live that receive those above products locally from the mill then ship them out to consumers (stores). I also dislike the Koch brothers on how they act / views and their company did a good job @!$%#ing us out of a fair contract 8 weeks ago we had been fighting for a year. We are a Union facility(s) if you can believe that.

Boycotting them... won't really hurt them. They are Billionaires.. and are so diversified.. it won't matter. 2nd largest private company in the USA if not the World or something like that. (Koch Industries) What a boycott would do if it even had an effect would hurt guys like me who depend on this job for a paycheck. They'd lay us average guys off if the volume went down significantly. I don't love my job by it's better then nothing in this economy! The only perk from that company is I have a storage unit full of free stuff from the list above which saves my family from having to buy it year long.

But since you have the list posted... lol.. I'll add to it what you missed.

Kirkland Brand Towels, etc (Costco Brand)

Target Brand

Members Mark

Iris

Walmart Brand towels / toilet paper called "Great Value".

Also the Mills the products are made in.. many are Union shops as well... and employ a lot of the people who live in the small communities around them. So.. you have to think about it. It will harm fellow average American's who depend on them for employment and a paycheck then it will hurt multi billionaires who already are beyond rich. :-/

And boycotting those products will affect those union jobs. Go ahead, don't buy those papertowels and when the union workers get laid off because of decreased demand, pat yourself on the back.

The Koch brothers are incredible. If they really donated 31 million to the tea party they are my heros, It is so refreshing to see Americas industrial leaders stand up for us.

Yes, the Koch Brothers and their insidious campaign to legalize cannabis, end the Patriot Act, end most subsidies, end the decades of US interventionism, end discrimination against Muslims, and end the disastrous and liberty-killing anti-terrorism policies of Bush and Obama. Those heartless bastards must be stopped!

How do you figure? Comparing a psychopath Hitler versus Capone a thief which aligns perfectly with the Koch Bros is not the same.

A stale bag of Libertarian favored leavings seeped in an evaporating puddle of Republican secrections is the recipe for the elixir being marketed by the TEA Party Pirates from the Back end of a Trojan Horse. Serverd with Limbaugh Cheese and Fox Droppings will produce a foul odor and fungus among us requiring a Liberal dosage of the United States Constitution to clear the air and eradicate the malfeasecance spores.

Libertarians are using the TEA Party as a Trojan Horse to Pirate the Ship of State and throw the Constitution of the United States overboard. The Koch brothers, Rudolf Murdock and Don Blankenship are all Libertarians.

The society upholds an originalist interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, which it identifies with Christian principles. It seeks to limit the powers of government and opposes wealth redistribution, economic interventionism. It opposes collectivism and Totalitarianism, particularly communism, but also socialism and fascism.

WOW, what a horrible organization.......

One of the founding members[21][22][23] was Fred Koch,[24] founder of Koch Industries, one of the largest private corporations in America.[25]

Isn't something how minorities have been supporting industries that hate them.

Yup, Fred was a totally despicable individual.<sarc> Son of an dutch immigrant, went to MIT, developed a new oil refining process that allowed smaller oil companies to compete against the larger ones, built a large business in the US and abroad. He hated communism after seeing it's results first hand. Yeah, I can't see why anyone would be proud of what he accomplished....

Yes, it is horrible that they donate money to charities that provide chemotherapy to children with cancer, or to libraries, or art museums. Totally despicable..... their political donations are a small part of what they do. Why no cry about the money that millionaires or billionaires that give money to socialist or communist causes?
