Fox News host Glenn Beck Thursday accused MSNBC's Ed Schultz of having "no honor."

Beck was livid that Schultz reported Tuesday that the Fox News host had told his viewers that they needed to get a gun while appearing to motion toward a picture of President Barack Obama.

Power is Knowlesge

This article could have been titled Crazy Right and Crazy Left collide.

"Piece of trash", talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

Neither of these two have an objective journalistic bone in their bodies and spout ideological rhetoric and just plain crazy talk on a regular basis.

I saw the portion of the show in question on the internet and intended or not intended it was a poor choice of phrase, especially with the picture of the president in view.

I have not seen either show in almost 6 months (Ed Show) and more than a year (Beck) and do not feel that I have missed anything at all in the way of news or politics. Both personalities seek to incite rather than to inform and I find them both crude, rude and unworthy of an audience of discerning, thinking people.

I think a cage match on WWEwould be an appropriate way for these two to debate an issue

Beck is a moron who somehow found a niche in the world as a snake oil salesman.

Ed - I find him to be passionate and sincere, but often over the top in how he goes about calling out people like Beck. That being said I agree with Ed that Beck did do what he said.

And there's honor in satellite radio, or wherever his radio show is currently or plans to go?

Let's see all the camera angles Glennbo. Yes you might've started at the chalkboard pointing your finger at the word "prepare", but it certainly looks like you ended up with that finger pointing at Obama.

Btw, a lot of blogs and websites reported this- why is he only picking on Ed (and using "trash")- maybe because Ed's got his number and has been one of those who've helped America wake up and get his ass off the air?

It's all about the money, and no regular advertisers would touch his show in the end. Ed's ratings stink, but the same advertisers who regularly are seen on MSNBC don't shun his show.

And MSNBC has new management. Olberman firings was a direct warning to all involved. Get more ratings or go out the door. BTW since MSNBC has no ratings advertising is cheap. Beck is not cheap.

"This guy is such a piece of trash," Beck said on his Thursday radio show. "Do you not know how camera angles work, Ed?"

Of course Beck knows how camera angles work. He and the other talking heads of the extreme right have all the angles figured out. They say and do things to imply one thing while covering their asses with BS excuses like "camera angles."

They continually insult anyone with intelligence when they pull these kinds of stunts (which really is a kind of sad reflection of their followers who evidently cannot figure this out).

"That is why I'm leaving television. There's no honor in it.

I guess he figures... "mission accomplished."

quartierleblanc - #1.5 - I'll bet I could get great ratings by smashing a piñata shaped like Obama and encouraging the audience to "give it a try".

Great ratings, I'm sure, given the current state of US politics...but "good message"? Absolutely NOT!

It's unfortunate that the relationship between ratings and quality is more or less inverse, these days.

@blanc,

Your post has that ineluctable stain that characterizes virtually all "information" that comes from the teabaggers at Faux Snooze -- in other words, it's COMPLETELY BOGUS.

Keith Olbermann's departure had absolutely nothing to do with ratings. His show had the highest ratings on MSNBC, but he didn't get along with the new Comcast management. (Given how trustworthy and well-liked cable providers tend to be, most sane people are not surprised.)

Who gives one thought to Beck's opinion, or to his other antics and blathering. I suspect the only reason Beck is leaving is that Fox requested his departure due to many advertisers opting out of his show, and the possibility of it spreading throught the 24 hour cycle.

Glenn Beck is leaving because the front runner of the Republican Presidential candidates and one other Presidential candidate are members of the LDS Church.

The same church that Glenn beck belongs to and the church that Beck has credited with his sobriety.

The reading material that Glenn Beck recommends to his followers is mostly from John Birch Society members who also happen to have been members of the LDS Church.

Glenn Beck having a bully pulpit will cast a very bad light on the two Presidential candidates that share his faith.

As to Beck, High Priest of the Mormon Militia, an organization that sincerely believes that they will be called on in the "Last Days" to save the United States. What will be interesting is how the Fascist Evangelical T Party movement and the "Mormon Militia" collide. in the struggle for Righteous Dominion.

May 17, 2005, Glenn Beck Show.

BECK: Hang on, let me just tell you what I'm thinking. I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out -- is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus -- band -- Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, "Yeah, I'd kill Michael Moore," and then I'd see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I'd realize, "Oh, you wouldn't kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death." And you know, well, I'm not sure.

After Nick Berg was beheaded, Beck had this to say about Berg's father:

BECK: It is truly amazing to see the photos of uh -- of Nick Berg's dad out on the lawn just preaching to the choir about how he's gonna be on stage for an International A.N.S.W.E.R. [Act Now to Stop War & End Racism] rally that is uh, rallying the people against racism and the war in just a couple of weeks -- don't forget the date. It's truly amazing stuff. Then he came out yesterday also and said, "Well, ya know, al Qaida MAY be as bad as the Bush administration." [long pause] I'm supposed to feel bad for this guy. I'm supposed to say at this point, "You know, he's grieving, and so you can understand how upset he is." But I really can't. Um, I -- I -- I -- I could get on and I can fake that I'm really -- you know, that I understand his statements and I, you know, feel bad for him. And I do feel bad for him. Some of the statements I do understand. I can give him the benefit of the doubt on some of the statements, but not the -- not the collective whole. I'm beginning to really dislike this guy.I'm beginning to question, you know, "Can you let your son's body become the same temperature as your son's head before you turn this into a political campaign against the president -- could you do that?"

BECK: I find this guy [Michael Berg] despicable. Everything in me says that. The want to be a better person today than I was yesterday says he's a dad, he's grieving, but I don't buy that. I'm sorry, I don't buy it. I think he is grieving, but I think he's a scumbag as well. I don't like this guy at all."

I don't buy the camera angle bit, but assuming that excuse is valid, isn't Glen the one that doesn't understand camera angles - since that's his reason/excuse for pointing to Obama when he's showing why we need guns? Why does he say Ed doesn't understand?

Ed is right in calling him out. He's suggesting that guns should be used on the president of the United States, and then says there is no honor anymore?

But he was wrong and he got on his hands and knees and begged him new employeers not to fire his goofy but then and there. Ed is going to be a footnote very soon. He has massive losses in viewership when he follows Rachel Maddow to the atounding tune of sometimes 2/3rds of the audience. Considering he's prime time that enough to fire the clown right then and there.

Poor Peckerhead, Oh I mean, Beckerhead, the guy has serious unresolved issues, I hope for all of our sakes he gets some professional mental help, remember Jared Loughner? Well Peckerhead, oops, Beckerhead is in trouble and I'm afraid he will do something heinous or convince some of those junior wanna be Pecker/Beckerheads to do his biddings.

I say that because, that little coded shoot Obama stunt is proof enough.

Glenn Beck and Ed Schultz. Same guy just different political viewpoints. Even their ratings are starting to be the same.

Ed's rating aren't even close to Beck.

Your crush on Glenn Beck is showing.

Do you have knee pads, or should that go on your wish list for the holidays?

People who think Beck is an upright American should read about his early career. He is a nasty little man who found a lucrative jobs duping the uninformed and intellectually lazy in America.

You want the fans of that dry drunk to actually research something? You've got to be kidding. They're too intellectually lazy to do so.
