The woman who said something to the effect that behind every successful man there is a woman of substance got it right. But she of course could have added a rider, to the effect that beneath every male shipwreck sits a huge iceberg.

I agree there are times I could see this happening. A for instance... I have known women who demand more, more and then more. Then the man might succumb and take an illegal shortcut to achieve that more demanded.
In other instances, I have known women who expected their significant others to defend them no matter what she might have done to give cause. Ect.....
However, hedging the bet.... not in every instance.
I have known women who resort to violence and dismisses the importance by claiming receiving violence when that is returned.
Consensual sex until remorse sets in. Then the claim becomes coercion or assault.
There are no blanket absolutes nor certitudes in either case.

Women are the root of all evil. They have been blamed since Adam and Eve, and the beginning of history. How do we know it wasn't Adam that picked the apple and BLAMED it on Eve? We don't. Men are the hunters, women the gatherers and nurturers. This article of course, was written by "A man". That explains everything.
Lol, Slinger. I have heard that too. As one of those "roots of evil" myself I do realize that not all men are bad nor are all women innocent.
I agree however, about the Eve lesson. I does seem to be women's lot in life to take the blame for everything at the same time denied power to do anything other than is dictated by those same types of men.

Yea Eve gets blamed a lot by us men but here are a few facts from the bible. A) Nothing happened when Eve ate the fruit but it did when Adam ate because B) Eve wasn't commanded not to eat the fruit Adam was. C) Eva gave to her husband who was with her, if he was with her why did he let her eat the fruit in the first place if he knew it was wrong because D) (this one is conjecture) he wanted to see what would happen to Eve before he ate and after seeing she was O.K. decided to eat.
There is a bible quote "To him who knows to do good and does it not, to him it is sin" Eve eating the fruit was not the first sin, it was a sin but not the first. Adam eating the fruit was not even the first sin, it was a sin but not the first. The first sin in my opion was Adam allowing his wife to do something he knew was wrong. He (Adam) was told not to eat the fruit and was expected to teach this and enforce this and chose not to so that he could see what would happen. First sin belongs to Adam.
