Shirley Sherrod is absolutely correct when she says "You and I Can't Yield--Not Now, Not Ever!"
The elections are upon us and we democrats can't afford to sit it out.
We can't sit back and say that candidate will have enough votes to win so my vote isn't needed.
We can't say I don't like that candidate so I'm not going to vote.
We have to be adults during this election and put aside our fragile egos because our civil liberties are on the line--Our economics are on the line--Our security is on the line--Our quality of life is on the line.
Last night I attended my local democratic meeting and listened as the speakers talked about how close all of the elections are and how easy it'll be for democrats to lose the house and the senate.
Do we want the democrats to lose the senate and/or the house?
Are we willing to take that chance and sit out the election?
We need to mindful of what's at stake and put forth all our efforts to ensure that the democrats retain the house and the senate.

So true. And thus far, this is something that's been very difficult to overcome. The struggles of Shirley Sherrod is a testament of faith.
