Walmart is recalling about 900,000 electric coffee makers made by General Electric (GE), because the coffee maker can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.

So far, Walmart has received 83 reports of overheating, smoking, melting, burning and fire, including three reports of minor burn injuries to consumer’s hands, feet and torso. Reports of property damage include a significant kitchen fire and damage to countertops, cabinets and a wall.

I have this coffee maker. It stopped working after @ 4 months and I couldn't find the receipt for return and the model was no longer on store shelves anyway.
Dug it out from under the sink and am returning today. $30 Newsvine lottery!
