Pickens: This is a sad accident that happened but this is, you know, an unusual case but there've been others like this so I think way too much is being made of the... of the oil that's being... that's coming out there in the Gulf. Given that he's also the manager of the hedge fund BP Capital, why does anyone in the media treat him as some unbiased commenter on the subject of this spill? From their site:

regardless of the cause, it is now the clean-up that needs to take place and BP IS RESPONSIBLE as the owner of the rig. So mr. mckay needs to just shut his trap and open the wallet.

While driving to work this morning I was listening to Diane Rehm Show and according to her guests, we may never learn what caused the spill. I suspect chairman Lamar McKay may be just perpetuating a cover-up.
