Single-payer is a complete government-run health insurance system under which everyone is covered, e.g., Canada's system. The "public option" is a single federal insurance plan that would compete with private insurance companies.

Though I'd prefer a single-payer plan, the public option is acceptable.

    I do not like giving the goverment that much control in my life, I would trust a blind deaf mute back alley bum more than I would the US goverment.

    Public option is fine, give the insurance companies a bit of competition..not that I would hop on the public option.

          Single Payer - Individual's pay a premium for health care

          Medicare - All individual's pay a portion of tax for health care they receive after age 60

          Medicare for all - All individual's pay a portion of tax for health care for all people of any age.
