In the ongoing national debate about the proper size and scope of government, conservatives usually argue that less is more. But a federal lawsuit filed by Michael Farris, a constitutional lawyer known for his conservative views, aims to increase the number of politicians on Capitol Hill. Farris says that, at its current size, the House of Representatives doesn't give equal representation to all Americans. He wants the court to expand the House to at least 932 members.

Michael Ferris should be shut down. While his reasoning behind the suit is to give states equal representation based on size and population of state, the very idea of bigger government is completely against the conservative base. We need to reduce government, and be more public oriented in decision making that concerns our pocket books.

So you're saying it's all right to let states go under represented? I'm not saying you're wrong for wanting smaller government but shouldn't these states have the same representation as other states ?

The title is misleading. The areas that Conservatives wan smaller are all the un-needed social programs, grants, pork spending and no-show appointments. Mr. Ferris wants to adjust the representation to match the growing population.

It is a tricky question, though. Our current number of "representatives" do so much damage, increasing the number will only increase the damage.

While I agree with giving people representation, I'm against sending MORE crooks to Washington.

I would say to Mr. Ferris... Let's clean up Washington and hold our current representatives accountable before adding to their number.

2 - How is the title misleading when it says Conservative not Conservatives want bigger government?

How is it a tricky question when Mr. Ferris, in my opinion, proves his point?

Either you're for giving people representation or you're not.

Sending more crooks to Washington or cleaning up or holding current representatives accountable has noting to do with why Mr. Ferris wants equal representation for all states. How did you come up with your conclusion?
