These psychopaths will say and do anything to keep the mentally disabled in their camps.

These psychopaths have been misrepresenting the truth for so long that I tend to tune them out. Thank goodness we have people like Ed Schultz to keep us abreast of what these psychopaths are saying and doing!

I'm glad you use the word psychopaths. Psychopaths really are the most manipulative and often very charismatic. You can spot one quite often if a person over time continually makes bizarre claims and lays guilt trips on everybody else but him and "his own." You see it in Hannity, Limbaugh and even some presidents. They're not like most everybody else. Bummer thing is most people have a hard time reconciling this notion.

Here's the sociopathic checklist:

What a coincidence. I just bumped into Ed Schultz at the coffee shop today. He looked all sad, like he'd been crying all night. I asked him what was wrong, expecting maybe that his mom has just passed away or something. He said he'd been sobbing uncontrolably since yesterday afternoon. He said he'd read some comment someone had posted on Newsvine calling him a psychopath.

Lonnie- I think he was talking about you. He was devastated. He said he's gonna quit his job and move to a cabin in the backwoods of Montana to try to escape the utter humiliation of your comment.

I hope you're happy.

I like Ed Schultz. He's honest, and thoughtful enough to make sense. His anger is reasonable and justified. He reminds me a bit of Rep. Grayson in that manner. They have moral clarity on the issues they care most about. That's refreshing, and long over-due.

This is not Schultz's first so called "calling out." He tries this when his already dismal ratings plunge. If he had any listeners, he wouldn't try to ride the coat tails of those who do.

Huh? Ed Shultz has a segment called Psycho Talk. It's part of his show. It always has been. Also, WHITEHOOD, you're more than welcome to defend Sean Hannity with any posting you wish. Instead of blindly critiquing Ed Shultz, it would help educate people here as to your defense of Hannity. I think people would love that discussion.

I don't have to. Hannity has the ratings and Schultz doesn't. BTW I'm not that big a fan of Hannity and personally I think his show is not as good without Colmes. However the ratings say otherwise.

Not talking about ratings. I'm talking about your defense of his show. But if you're unwilling to debate the merits of what he says, I completely understand. Second, you didn't refute what I said about Schultz's segment. I would suggest being informed before posting on here.

It works both ways Mike and we'll have to discuss the simple fact that Schultz has no ratings and has pulled his "calling out" stunts before. Like I posted earlier, I'm not a big fan of Hannity, but less so of Schultz. If he had anything at all he'd go head to head against Beck, but he can't, he follows him in the hope that some of Beck's viewers will switch to him while Fox changes to more hard news programming.

Got it. What most now call the continued degradation of the image of the Republican party led by Hannity, Limbaugh and Beck, you defend. I'm in media; and you fail to report that some of the most watched shows are simply sensationalistic - political or otherwise. Right-wingers often have a reputation for not being terribly intellectually based. Limbaugh, Beck and Hannity will ALWAYS draw ratings with those who are conservative - many who'd rather vegetate in front of the TV rather than read or go into the sciences. Right-wing shows - TV and radio - often have little to do with actual truth or substance.

I don't think that is the point; sensationalism always gets ratings; why does the super bowl get higher ratings than any other game? Final four? World series?" These are sensational events in comparison to others.

Fox news is to news as the National Enquirer is to news - shock with no substance.

Remember, in 2003 FOX News won a court decision in which they fervently fought for the right to intentionally lie, distort the facts, and mislead their audience.

And Beck had previously acknowledged that he, Hannity, and O'Reilly are not journalists or reporters ("I'm a commentator"), and therefore they are not beholden to the guidelines of journalistic integrity and ethics and are free to make crap up.

into their own personal spring boards for launching attacks and misguided assaults

upon a respectable citizenary. The Fox Team may be viewed as "the blind leading

There are no journalists with integrity. Bias is always present. Even when they think they are just presenting the facts they show their bias by the words and photos they use. They can find more pejorative words for their stories than the public is aware of. By definition, journalists are cynics and they also live by ratings. A journalist who is not popular has little longevity in the business. The neolibs support everyone from the left no matter how extreme. All they have to do to get that support is criticize the right. An unfortunate truth!

What a silly screed, and in the end, it's all the 'neo-libs' fault.

What the hell is a neolib?

Are YOU someoen who once described themselves, or was described as a 'neocon' and the only way you can deal with is to come up w/ a ridiculous, meaningless term like 'neolib'?

All they have to do to get that support is criticize the right. An unfortunate truth!

Really? But... but... FOX RULES!!! Fox spews rightwing proganda 24/7, and ANYONE who doesn't agree w/ it is immediately deemed 'extreme left' for even daring to not go along w/ it.

You need to go back and work on your talking points. They're not too convincing.

lol there are a million issues that Republicans in congress and Republicans across this great land refused to question - and in turn why they were voted out of office. It wasn't simply Bush and his administration that helped destroy the reputation of the Republican party. It was conservatives and Republicans throughout this country that refused to speak up.

What you're upset about IS that Hannity has ratings and Schultz doesn't. It is what it is and it's that simple. If you look at talk radio, does any leftie even make the top ten? Get someone in there who can do the job. The guy I really like on the left wing is Mike Malloy. The dumbest is Mark Thompson. If the left could get a grip on Malloy he might be able to provide some competition.

Same syndrome why Air America is in the financial toilet...NO RATINGS....Nobody wants to listen to BS. It has absolutely nothing to do with psychosis. Sean Hannity psychotic???? What is that , a joke? He may be a schill for the GOP and a Conservative who hates all things Liberal, but calling him a psychotic is ridiculous.

Ed Shultz is a unabashed socialist, who cares what he thinks. This guy wants to take 50% of what we earn to spend on his pet charity projects so he can pat himself on the back as the good guy and point the finger and the ones struggling to pay and call them bad people. Ever notice, socialist similar to sociopath? They don't care about others. They are not willing to do good works by themselves. They force others to do good works so they can feel good about themselves. They have no regard for people other it's make themselves feel better. They make themselves feel better by caring for the people they look down on as inferior.

OR doctorsteph can not provide any, which I'm sure is the case. I saw Rachel on MTP with Dick Armey, she had her fact straight, and he lied like a rug.

"When Armey said he took no responsibility "whatsoever" for the virulent protests against President Obama and compared it to MoveOn.org running an ad comparing President Bush to Hitler, Maddow pointed out that thatnever actually happened. Later she elaborated, pointing out that major conservative groups had speakers going around the country comparing Obama to Hitler, Pol Pot and Stalin and asking supporters to put the fear of God in their congresspeople. When Armey said that he denounced violence, Maddow pointed out that his organization, FreedomWorks, was in a coalition whose website was promoting the violent fight at a Tampa town hall as a good thing."

                    Here the transcript from that show;
