Celtic Diva at Blue Oasis has this interesting bit of speculation on how Miss Palin has been getting around: ... the plane is owned by Samaritans Purse.

Who is Samaritans Purse? http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/Who_We_Are/About_Us

MISSION STATEMENT
Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

How is Samaritan's Purse flying Sarah Palin around promoting the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ or even helping those in need?

Can this be considered an abuse of religious tax exemption? And, an abuse of funds raised by fundraising in the name of God and Jesus Christ?

I say we just put old Sarah in a plexiglass enclosed flatbed, complete with stripper pole and strobe lighting, and drive that around the country for a few weeks. ;-P

Organized religion has been a disappointment for thousands and thousands of years.

It is downright dangerous when mixed with politics.

What the hell? Does Billy Graham know that his son Franklin is allowing this heifer to abuse their 501(c)3 tax exemption and break the law? Where is the IRS when you need them? If there is an IRS agent out there reading this would you please do your duty and arrest Caribou Barbie and pull Samaritan Purse's tax exemption!

Mr. Bill Davis

So it's OK with you that she is traveling under false pretenses and breaking the law?

Ms. Moose Brisket is not OK with me and the majority of Americans.

....btw if being a right wing loon was illegal, Glenn Beck would be broadcasting from jail.

.. and the taxpayers, if a tax-exempt org is providing transport for what is clearly a commercial - if not overtly political - endeavor.

"Can this be considered an abuse of religious tax exemption?" Oh lets hope so! All I want for Christmas is this travesty to be set right. God and Jesus's money returned. Sara Palin to be proven the charlatan powerisknowledge knows her to be.

SP is a spinoff of the Billy Graham ministries. His son Franklin seems to have the hots for Sarah and her rheteric and is willing to sell his soul to the devil to promote the narrow word of god he endorses.HE claims, like so many christians, to follow the lessons of Jesus but seems to ignore some of those lessons....I guess loving thy neighbor only includes thoe either increadibly rich and/or powerful OR the worlds extrememly poor. Little middle ground. How many of OUR poor live in the Mountains from which Billy came and still have no power, toilets or modern necessities. IN HIS back yard! He's looking to buy his way into heaven. People like palin are doing the same!

Oh Kim thank you. The narrow word of god? Please tell us Kim what the narrow word of god should include? What rhetoric?

Hey, easy on Sarah. You can't get a decent shot off at a timber wolf from a frick'n bus.

No tax exemption violation...she isn't in office and officially she isn't running either.

Once she gets all the fame and following she needs and the TV talk show offers start rolling in ...I'm sure Iquitarod Caribou Barbie will quit the circuit and sign a deal.

I simply find this one more example of Ms. Palin's attempt to be "folksy" but at the same time finding it far too common to travel by bus. There is very little this woman can do to surprise me. She is so fake and artificial and it continues to amaze me that a rather large number of people seem to be taken in by her "common folk" act.

I am absolutely certain of one thing and that is I am far more comfortable with a President that is obviously very intelligent. I see nothing to impress me with a young woman that needed to attend four colleges in order to obtain a BA in journalism. It is fairly obvious that degree didn't do a lot for her considering she was unable to write her own book and needed someone to write it for her.

They landed the jet right behind the book store. Bus picked her up and drove her around front!

speculation- hypothesis that has been formed by speculating or conjecturing (usually with little hard evidence)
