I couldn't agree more. I just returned from the Obama rally in Denver and it was a very positive experience. I didn't witness any of the hatefulness that I've heard about and seen video of at the McCain/Palin rallies.

Have you seen who Alaska's largest newspaper has endorsed?

Yes and thank you. If it wasn't  for my visiting your site Gipper1 and reading the ADN endorsement, I wouldn't have found the Alaskan Women article.

Did you notice that she has an accent like Sarah Palin?

I really don't think there was very many people there showing their support for Obama.  Every state have their DEMS.

It's not unusual for people living in the same region to sound alike. I grew up in the mid-west and am now living on the east coast and people who grew up here often comment that I talk funny. And like you, when I first listened to the speaker I thought the video was a joke because it sounded like Palin speaking. This video is only an indication of Obama's support in Alaska. We all can be sure that there are more Alaskans out there cheering Obama on.

Hey, that is my point exactly.  You all have been making fun of Sarah Palins voice every since she was picked by John McCain.  I am just pointing out that she has an accent that is within her region.

Looking at the video about 8 seconds, you see a side profile of women.

You can say, she may resemble Palin.

and palin has gone rogue to the detriment of mccain
perhaps palin is a secret obama supporter.

Baaaw.  Are you whining because Americans are cracking a couple of jokes?  You don't see me crying about people making fun of Obama's big ears, big lips or his speech eloquence.  Jokes are jokes, be mature about it and realize that people aren't basing their votes on the candidate's "voice" but in fact on her policies or record in her own state.

I have got better things to do than whine over anything.  I was just pointing out to you Democrats some things that you tend to overlook.  Let me tell you that Palin has gotten more things said about her voice and appearance than Obama has, and for a matter of fact Obama Biden combined.

I happen to be voting for McCain and Palin on policies, and against Obama on his celebration of Mentors and Friends, and his Policies. Do we need another Jimmy Carter?  I don't think so.....the democrats are responsible for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and it all started with Jimmy Carter.  Everyone is worried about the money spent on Sarah Palin's wardrobe, but do not care about the money that Raines and others took when they bailed.

you mean they have other policies besides reform and maverick? ok, maybe maverick is a stretch as policy, but take that away and the the plan is to reform.

well, maybe that and to go shopping...

palin is gonna end up as a host on the home shopping network when this is over....

I doubt the Democrats can Win Alaska, still there a chance or miracle.  If Democrats take Alaska, Palin will not win 2nd time as Governor.  Whoever runs against her a Democrat, Independent or even another Republican will only need to borrow from Obama, Media and Decent people to take her down.   She can go back being a mayor.

The shock will be how slim of margin will McCain/Palin will win.

sarah evita has a bit more of a problem in alaska. even before this fiasco the alaska state legislature had been wearing 'where's sarah?' buttons in sessions.

she had already pissed off most of the state congress and now with all the juicy bits that have come out since her anointment , she may have some trouble in even wild and whacky wasilla...

Also, if you look at Alaska Polls.  Obama is gaining.  It will be close margin.

      on 09/11/08   68% McCain  29% Obama

      on 09/17/08   60% McCain  36% Obama

      on 10/17/08   55% McCain  40% Obama

      on 10/23/08   53% McCain  42% Obama

      On Election Date, My prediction

      McCain 48%,  Obama 45%

Democrats need to target the Alaskian Native Americans aka Eskimos to vote Obama beside working moms in Alaska.

      Get them registered to vote.

Even 3 electoral votes is something.

      Something is better than nothing.

Too bad their enthusiasm for change probably will not be reflected in the election numbers...they will pick McCain.  Any group of people who were fooled so easily by Palin, will do the same with McCain...sorry...I don't have a lot of faith in the Alaskans right now.  They may have little splinter groups of support for "change", but not enough...Alaska has been red and will stay that way.

never say never. you never know! don't be that overconfident & cocky.
Today's Anchorage daily news said: "Like picking Sen. McCain for president, putting her one 72-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the free world is just too risky at this time."
This is in her OWN state.

      rk,

I am an Obama supporter...not McCain...I am simply saying that I cannot understand how the people of Alaska got the wool pulled over their eyes so easily with Palin and now we think that because of these small groups of people voting Obama that the majority of them will turn their state from red to blue...again...I don't have that much confidence in the critical thinking skills of the majority of Alaskans.  I know the paper endorsed Obama...but newspaper endorsements don't vote at the polls....regular people do.

I wanted to mention anyone for anyone interested that the Obama/Biden campaign is looking for people to make calls from home to potential voters in swing states. It's a way for someone to contribute with a minimal time commitment. Probably not for everyone but it works for me.
