The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someone in the crowd at a McCain/Palin event suggested killing Barack Obama, according to Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley. The shout of "kill him" followed a Sarah Palin rant on Obama's relationship with radical Chicagoan Bill Ayers. …unclear: whether the remark was directed at Obama or Ayers if the words were actually "kill" and "him.

Should it matter who the “Kill Him” was directed to? No. If this was a rally of any culture with dark color skin, The Secret Service, the FBI, the local police, and other organizations would have been all over this. Some person with dark color skin would be in jail by now, even if that individual wasn’t the person who uttered the words.

Why is it all right for whites to incite hate, anger, and potential riots and a blind eye is turned by law enforcement until it hits the press? Well it goes to show you that racism is alive and well in America!

The McCain/Palin negative campaign must be shut down!

Not trying to oppress anyone just want the hate-speak to stop. If McCain/Palin wants to lend credibility to their campaign they'd stick with the issues. Oh! But they can't can they because they don't have a platform!

As the article says

unclear: ... if the words were actually "kill" and "him.

your premise may be false as well.

Are you insane, there is no better proof of the final throes of rascism, than the fact that the first African-American Presidential candidate is leading in NATIONAL polls.

There will always be radicals that find themselves holding everything from different ethnic groups to vegetarians with a degree of contempt. But realize that the MAJORITY of the country has put past hatreds to bed. Inflammatory, blanket observations simply push us back to where we once were. It is foolish to think that rascism won't be "alive an well" forever! Anti-semitism has been rampant worldwide for thousands of years, but the MAJORITY of the world sees all people through a fair and equal 'eye'. I am thankful that we have the opportunity to face the final stages of this centuries old issue in the United States. Racism will be around forever (unfortunately) but it doesn't mean we have to dwell on it. Look at the steps we've made as a nation, and heed not the heckling of a bigotted coward. Feel the warmth of progress and know that good will when, because deep down, everyone wants to be treated fairly and justly, no matter what they may protest on the outside.  Flip the argument around on the heckler and declare in a rally setting that he be killed, and you will quickly find that he is no longer comfortable with the concept of protesting such things.

I find it interesting that the conservatives are not giving this thread much posting time.  Why do you think that is?  Odd the way that happens......

Even if the page is blank, I've seen the video. Did you also hear the press pool reporting that one of Palin's dedicated fans yelled at a black reporter who was blocking his view: "YOU sit down, Boy!"

Palin seems to LOVE this kind of thing.

I wandered over to Fox to see what was on their live blog last night during the debate. In isn't overstating it to say it was a KKK meeting, without the sheets of course. The predominate comments were of the "those people" "that man" "they always" and directed to the Ivy education both Oboma and his wife received (obviously undeservedly) at "our" expense and ain't that the way "they" always do "us". Mixed in where the more blatant comments listing the "truth" on Oboma. Muslim, terrorist blah blah blah. And of course if you are here you are a cool aid drinking idiot.

Call me a fool but until recently I had thought that the fact I rarely heard such things meant we may have grown past this deep bigotry in the good old USA. Wrongo on that one. Its not just out on my street, right here in front of my house, but Fox news is the corporate support for it on the web.

Right there in your face for anyone to see, join and enjoy. Bigots and racists rejoice!! There is still a home for you in America.

In spite of this I am proud of America. As a fine and outlandishly smart man is showing leadership of uncommon stature to earn our votes is at the same time helping us move closer to helping us turn a page here and for the world on race. (We can't forget that none of us could have answered the "in our lifetime" question this way even a year ago.) So good for us.

Likewise we can't forget that bigots and race haters are alive and well and now have corporate sponsers and in many ways their own major political party now.(I say that having voted Rep since Ronny R thank you very much) They are also planting their flag with a high heeled hero for future races. In other words they aren't going away. Not with this election, probably never.

Its good news and bad news. I'm just as scared as you believe me. But as scared as I am I think I see how important it is to vote this year. How important it is to care, how important it is to be involved.

Please please please, do a little something. Help someone get out and vote. Can you help convince just one person a bit to vote for Obama? can you wear the colors? Put up a sign? Put your support on your sleeve to show others what you stand fo? Help someone to have the courage to think for themselves?

In any case no matter how bad the weather or how good the polls on election day you must vote!! Hate will drive the other side out no matter what. If you want change be there!!

Why don't the republicans just have a coming out party. Just be honest and wear the white cloaks and pointy little hats and have a rally. The neo-con fascist right wingers are showing their true color and Palin is now their mouth piece. Don't think for one moment that Sean Hannity, Karl Rove , Rush Limbo or Bill O don't condone this, because they do. Anything to achieve their goals. They would be right at home in 1939 Germany.
Oh by the way: My skin is as white as the back ground on this page. I Love this country but the people that live in it scare the hell out of me. Can we ever get out of 1950 and start living in 2008 ???

The correct response from Palin and/or the Campaign, would have been to immediately address the shouts.  If for some reason she didn't hear it, that still would not preclude her from addressing it once she was informed.
What hypocrisy from a candidate who professes faith and christianity.
I'm wondering how much longer she will wait to address this issue.....the above post is correct. It absolutely does not matter to whom the shout was directed. What kind of a candidate does not even apologize to others listening?
its already Wednesday and still not a word..............

ComSen and Rennurfast, your time would be better spent emailing your candidates and schooling them on truthfulness, honesty, integrity, and running a campaign on issues rather than on slander and lies. Or you might want to spend your time asking yourself why you've chosen to support hate, racism, and lies.

Palin has lost all credibility in our household.  The remark about Obama being associated with a terrorist is a very personal attack and in my opinion a very slanderous remark with nothing to back it up.  I don't know this Ayers guy but does Palin think for one second if there is such a dangerous man running around in America that George W wouldn't of had him picked up and sent to Guantanomo?

McCain's campaign is making a fool out of Palin just so he and the Stepford Twin can sit their sorry butts in the White House.

It's disgustingly sad Palin is falling for it.

wow, that's the most uneducated thing I've ever heard someone say... you don't know who Ayers? a unreptentant terrorist? The guy was part of a radical group called the weather underground who bombed federal buildings, some went on to kill a cop with a pipe bomb later. Ayers is unrepentant and says his only regret is that "he didn't do more". To this day he has been photographed standing on top of a crumpled american flag. he and Obama worked together on the Woods Fund of Chicago, and later he got his political start during a political event in Ayer's own home. Ayers raised money for Obama's campaigns.

let's not forget the hate spewed by Rev. Wright. you're going to tell me that in 20 years, 1 marriage and 2 baptisms he NEVER spewed the White hating US Of KKKing speeches until Obama decided to run for President??

God it scares me that people like you have the right to vote.

It's seems the McCain/Palin theory of campaigning is to follow the Bush policy, "you are with us or against us". It makes no difference that you are American, it's all about them and the GOP. They make you feel like the enemy if you don't dance to their ever tune. It's the fear factor Bush/Cheney have used through out his administration.

I have to agree with you on this one. I don't dislike Palin as a human being. I dislike her for the white house. Though the McCain camp is making a fool out of Palin I sorta believe she knows this but believe it'll help her in 2012 when she runs for president. Like the entertainment worlds says, any press is good press.

Good point Pittsburgh2. She should speak out against terrorism but she isn't going to. Her and McCain and the Neo's are rallying these crowds. They are getting the exact responses that they are after. Did you see the cop that was on stage telling Barak Hussein Obama where he was going to be on election day? How would you like to be taken to a jail at night by this guy? I'm sure he is a moral magority member and is a man that always does what he thinks is right. God, Guns and Guts.....Jesus help us.
By the way. Adolf Hitler professed faith and Christianity too.
John McCain, were you always this way and I just never noticed? What happened to you? Where is your dignity? In my book, You "my Friend" are as low as a snakes belly at sea level  and millions of other AMERICANS think the same way I do. OR DID YOU NOTICE ??? GO AWAY and take miss congeniality with you! You don't even deserve to be a US senator anymore. Maybe you never did. Hopefully the good people of your home state will send you packin next election.

        And this actually surprises people?

If these 2 had a chance to get away with it they would go around calling him Senator Lawn Jockey.

Did you notice the obvious got-the-wind-knocked-out-of-his-sails body language after Obama slammed him right back with the Bomb...bomb...bomb Iran backhand to the chin?

Guess Obama understands a lot more than these 2 or any of their supporters give him credit for.

I think one of my favorite reponses from Obama was when he referred to McCain's repeating that "he doesn't understand."     When Obama said "he's right....there are some things I don't understand"....and then continued to explain --I thought was brilliant and made him stand  out.
Again today more lies and false statements against Obama.  Really pathetic that they wlll do everything they can to stay away from talking issues and policies.

        1. where is this video? I've searched all over and I can't find it. You'd think it would have leaked onto youtube. The only thing I can find is one video where one guy yells "terrorist" but he does NOT say "kill him."

        2. Obama said he could no sooner denounce Wright than he could an uncle. It took him FOREVER to denounce him and his views. Now people say "Poor barry. Wright's White hating US of KKK speeches shouldn't be held against Him, barry had nothing to do with it!" Yet libs now want to hold one freak job's "terrorist" comment (if it happened) against the McCain campaign? Double staaannndddaarrrdddd. Typical Lib mindset.

        3. McCain and Palin have stated the truth about Ayers. It's funny someone here said she had no idea who ayers was but that if he were a bad guy bush would have nabbed him already.

Educated yourself much? I'm not old enough to have lived through it but even I learned about it in school, and I went to PUBLIC school no less. Ayers was a terrorist. he was part of the weather underground who blew up federal buildings. Some of the members of this group he co-founded went on to kill a cop.

He has said, to this day, that his only regret would be "not doing more." and if he could go back and change anything, he wouldn't. He says this as he is photographed standing on top of a crumpled american flag.

He ran the woods fund of Chicago with Obama, and Obama got his political start in ayers house, 1996 I believe it was, during a political event. Ayers has helped secure campaign funds for Obama.

        and what about these pictures?

these are various headquarters of Obama's around the nation proudly displaying Che Guevara's flag next to Obama pictures or american flags. che Guevara was a marxist mass murderer who revealed in guerilla warfare.

there are pictures of Obama's wife Michelle and Louis Farrahkan's wife and events... you know Farahkan, the white and jew hating guy who accepted the nickname "black hitler" saying Hilter was a great unifyer?

So the fear amongst the conservative poplaution is not unfounded, and the things Palin/Mccain say about his associations are not untrue.

As for the terrorist yelling guy (if he exists)

        1. yes it is despicable... but for that guy... not the republican party.
        2. how do you know McCain/Palin even heard it? Palin especially draws a large crowd. How would she hear it over the screams? If I am standing next to someone video taping a concert and I scream "Look at my boobs" the mic will pick it up since I'm right next to it and anyone who sees the video will hear it... but 9 out of 10 the person on stage will be oblivious over the screams of other people.

libs need to get over themselves and remember, those in glass houses... or pot meet kettle or whichever phrase you prefer.

Jamie90210: I distinctly seen McCain react to that outburst and didn't denounce it. No doubt whatsoever. I didn't see Palin react but I attribute that to the fact that she's just stupid.
It's funny how you bring up Rev Wright. I agree that he is a fool and he certainally proved it on national television  I do find it entertaining though when the redneck right in this country respond to someone that in many ways was telling the truth. They don't like the truth. The chickens "are" coming home to roust. We have rode ruff shod over this world since the 1950's. You want to know why we have so much trouble in the world? It's called the CIA. Rev Wright grew up in a time in this country when they lynched 16 year old black kids in the south. How would you like to of been the mother of one of these children and  found your son hanging in a tree? You don't think Rev Wright and people like him have a reason to be bitter? This after many put their lives on the line in would war 2 for our freedom and returned home to the same crap.
I love my country with all my heart and would die for it today. I don't understand why it is un-american to admit we were wrong and try to change for the better. Yet I'm sure that this is the first thing that the neo-cons would do is to start calling me names. This seems to always work for them.

Jamie90210, I attended Louis Farrahkan's Million Family March. I attended The Million Mom March. I attended The Pro-Choice March, I attended a march for homosexuals. I campaigned for a white judge, who won by the way. There are other marches I've attended that I can't remember. When I support a cause I do so because I believe in what they represent and not because of the color of their skin. That's called being a grown-up.

you know Farahkan, the white and jew hating guy who accepted the nickname "black hitler" saying Hilter was a great unifyer?

Hilter was a great unifier. Our History books tell us that and if you didn't read it common sense should kick in. How do you think he was able to get so many people to follow him.

these are various headquarters of Obama's around the nation proudly displaying Che Guevara's flag next to Obama pictures or american flags. che Guevara was a marxist mass murderer who revealed in guerilla warfare.

I'd like to know the locations of all the various headquarters you're talking about because I've been to quite a few and the only flag I've seen is the American flag. I believe you're pulling a Sarah Palin on this one.

Your ranting and raving about things that aren't important or even paid attention to is not helping your candidate. It really is amazing to have republicans teaming with us to help get Obama elected. When asked why they say McCain is not the man they thought he was and Newsvine code of honor will not let me write what they say about Palin.

It was a strategy that didn't work. His crowds are booing him because they prefer him in the hate mode, but is he fooling anyone with this so called change of heart?
